CHRISTIAN CANART
PRESIDENT AND
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Christian Canart is president and chief executive officer (CEO) of SpaceDreamS. He oversees the strategic direction of the company and leverages the talents.
Prior to leading SpaceDreamS, Christian was responsible for the development of the command and control systems of Ariane 6 at the CNES. He was also in charge of the Ariane 6 launch base preliminaries studies at ESA.
Christian has extensive expertise in a wide array of strategic, business, cybersecurity and technical matters across space and telecom industries as a result of his executive, management and operational experience.
Christian holds a master’s degree in engineering from University of Louvain and qualifications in cybersecurity and soft skills.
ALEXANDRE MENCIK
CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICER AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Alexandre Mencik is chief business officer (CBO) and general counsel of SpaceDreamS. In his role, Alexandre is responsible for overseeing, identifying and managing legal, compliance, corporate governance, business development and finance matters. Alexandre is a former ED and associate general counsel of a fortune 200 company. He represented clients involved in the aerospace sector and orchestrated the establishment of industry-led consortium arrangements such as Sea Launch.
He serves as council member for the ACCESS.SPACE Alliance, board member of the French Astronomy Association and director and board member of the LSTA. He is the founder and CEO of the space platform, the author of the guide to public financing and a mentor.
Alexandre has a background in spacecraft techniques and technologies from the CNES, holds a master’s degree in air and space law and in business from McGill University and a Juris Doctor from University of Louvain.
YANN BOURGAIN
LAUNCH COMPLEX
SYSTEM EXPERT
Yann Bourgain is our launch complex system expert. Yann has a wide range of knowledge about the system design of ground means and the operation of launchers. Beginning with the fluidic qualification of Ariane 5 launch base fluidic means , he became responsible for the mechanical systems design of the Ariane 5E ground means for CNES, including the cryogenic arms.
Responsible for the technical interfaces management between launchers and ground means of Ariane 5 for 2 years, he finally completed his experience by carrying out the system risk analysis of the Ariane 6 control bench before integrating SpaceDreamS in July 2022.
Yann has a degree in engineering from Arts et Métiers school (ENSAM)
MARTIN LEE
GROUND SEGMENT SYSTEM SPECIALIST
Martin is our ground segment system specialist. Martin has a background in spaceport architecture and system design, with a focus on fluidic systems. He has been involved in complete spaceport infrastructure and operational design, leading the ground segment development for a new actor. His global experience extends to site and launcher licencing requirements. Martin’s background with NewSpace launchers and spaceports means he understands well the desires and goals of new actors and can blend this with technical expertise to create exceptional solutions. Martin has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Melbourne.
LORENZA TRILLES
CAD DESIGNER
Lorenza is our CAD designer. Lorenza has experience in mechanical design and ground segment engineering. In the framework of project PERSEUS from CNES, she has worked on the design and prototyping of a vehicule capable to transport a liquid rocket on ESRANGE’s launch complex from the assembly building to the launch pad. After that, as part of ArianeWorks, she was involved in the design of the ground support means for the Themis demonstrator and its derived launcher. Lorenza has a degree in space engineering from ESTACA.
